Today I finally completed my Hand Embroidered portrait of Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland.
I am very proud of the portrait I have embroidered over the past few months. I used DMC threads in over fifty different colours to create to tones and blends of dark and light.
I will be displaying the portrait at the Bannow & Rathangan Agricultural Show in July and also at the Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford. The portrait will be in the window of Crafty in Selskar Sreet, home of knitting and craft supplies.
